SWIM (Safe Water In Mind) Racine is a non-profit organization collaborating with a coalition of residents, city and county officials, and corporate partners committed to promoting water safety in Racine County.
Tragically, in 2025, Racine is mourning the loss of two children in the waters of Lake Michigan. Their passing will not be in vain. From these heartbreaking events arises a renewed focus and effort to ensure that all residents can enjoy our waters safely and with confidence through Swim Racine initiatives.
Our organization’s mission is to ensure that every Racine County resident has access to water safety education and that our shores and waterways are equipped to prevent loss of life.
● Enabling water safety education during the school year and beyond in Racine County.
● Hosting public water safety events throughout Racine County.
● Ensuring adequate safety gear is available where needed in our community.
● Partnering with government officials to identify risks and create solutions for water safety.
